Usually around December, my family would suffer from dry, cracked hands. In 2020, we discovered that our new hand washing routine was leaving our hands soft and healthy. We started using Rose Body Oil after washing our hands. I placed the zero-waste pump next to our soap and it reminded my family to apply some. It comes in a 4oz glass jar that can be recycled or reused when the oil is gone. Traditional hand lotions often have ingredients that are difficult to pronounce and are not found in nature. I love having a product that not only was clean for my family, but actually showed positive results.
What is in the Rose Body Oil?
Ingredients: jojoba oil, rose infused light olive oil, vitamin E oil and dried rose buds.
We asked Gigi, our in-house Herbalist to tell you more about this amazing product and the process:
“So why and how do we infuse our olive oil? We infuse the oil to allow the rose constitutes to become extracted into the oil. Rose is really good for the cardiac system, which is why it’s known as the flower of romance. By extracting those constitutes into the oil, you are then able to receive the effects through the skin when applying the oil. Rose is wonderful at opening up the heart chakra to allow love in and out. We do this by letting the herb sit in the oil for a full lunar cycle. We then strain the oil and compost the used herb, giving it back to the earth in which it came.
This oil is really helpful for dry ashy skin and can be used on all parts of the body. While it is a little thicker, it does not leave a sticky feeling as the skin soaks it right up. The light scent of rose is known to last all day. I enjoy this oil when getting out of the shower in the morning because it locks in the moisture and leaves me ready for the day with an open heart.”
Zero waste skin care can be accessible, affordable and natural. Adios to dry cracked hands.
